the turtleneck sweater - 100 drawings in 100 days

ok, we all know how uncomfortable an itchy turtleneck sweater is... and this one looks particularly so.

i saw this really alert-looking pup the other day during lunch at a local cafe, and just had to snap him up! i never really know what i'm going to do with the subjects until i see the photo enlarged. only then, and sometimes not until i start drawing, do i know what kind of costume or background will accompany them.

so, here we have a dog in a very long-necked sweater, and i have called it "the long turtleneck".

i am still gathering material for my new series of paintings, and these two are part of that. i think i might even use them for the "100 paintings in 100 days"...

the drawing of the dog (top) is called "hoover" and the peacock (below) is called "peacock" or "aunty phyllis", take your pick...

radar dog - 100 paintings in 100 days

i really love my new iphone! this dog was snapped by a friend of mine whom i asked to promptly forward it on to me... he's so cute! in an ugly kinda way... but he's so cute!

so, this drawing is titled, "radar dog" because of his goofy looking ears (i wonder what he would say about mine???)
